The Executive Director of Schools, Jack de Groot invites applications for the senior leadership position of Director Mission at Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD). This key role contributes to the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese’s (CSPD) Executive Leadership Team, including governance for the system, and reports to the Executive
Director for the implementation of the system learning agenda in Religious Education and formation.
The Catholic school exists within the Church and society to provide a ‘synthesis of faith and culture’ which allows each student to grow to his or her full human and spiritual potential. Its mission is to bring the person of Jesus Christ into the lives of our young people and their
families and support the work of the Church as an agent of learning and mission. It is in this context that CSPD seeks a dynamic, contemporary Catholic thinker and educator to lead its Mission team. The diocese has responsibility for over 45,000 students and 5,000 staff in its 80 schools across Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. Your leadership responsibilities will involve
the thoughtful and strategic management of a large and diverse team of Religious Education specialists working in our Schools and our Support Office at Parramatta. You will be highly collaborative with outstanding relational and stakeholder management skills.

Key accountabilities for this role
As the Director Mission you will be accountable for:
● Supporting schools to live the Mission of Catholic education in their communities
● Ensuring that schools implement the learning agenda with the delivery of Religious Education
● Leading the process of continual improvement in student achievement in all CSPD schools
● Building a culture of Catholic formation and community outreach across the organisation
● Collaborating with pastors, principals, teachers, and other school staff to build teacher and leader capacity through instructional leadership
● Leading schools in building relationships with parish and community
● Collaborating with the Diocese in the effective delivery of the Diocesan pastoral vision and services
● Providing mentoring, performance feedback, and coaching for our Mission team staff with a focus that is aligned with the culture and values of CSPD.
