Letters to a nameless friend
St Charles students wrote over 500 letters to Calvary residents. A student at St Charles Primary School Ryde has struck up a beautiful friendship with a retired priest after writing to him as part of a school outreach project during the COVID-19 lockdown. As part of 2020 NAIDOC Week celebrations one Sydney Catholic school has unveiled unique child hand drawings steeped in tradition and colour. “My hand pattern reminds me of the proud and positive feelings I have about my culture,” said St Therese’s Catholic Primary School Mascot Indigenous student, Charli Symonds. Southern Cross plies new trades
Students keen to ply a trade can now tap into their passions from Year 9 at Sydney Catholic Schools’ Southern Cross Catholic College at Burwood. The Innovation and Enterprise specialisation provides a special focus on employability through a wide range of available traineeships and apprenticeships where students are able to fast-track their training into a career.
