Lockdown Arts Festival: Entries are flowing
Sydney Catholic Schools’ (SCS) Lockdown Arts Festival is well underway with students, parents, guardians and teachers all jumping on board. Labelled as the most ambitious and comprehensive arts festival ever attempted in Sydney, more than 160,000 people from the SCS community have the opportunity to submit entries. The festival theme is Looking outwards from a life in lockdown. Early birds are soaring high
Year 12 students at St Ursula’s College Kingsgrove are proving they haven’t let a pandemic slow them down, with more than half of the class of 2021 already receiving early entry uni offers. One hundred and one of the 165 Year 12 students at the college have been invited to study at institutions across the country in 2022, including at Australia’s two leading Catholic universities, Australian Catholic University and The University of Notre Dame Australia. Draw your neighbourhood art project
Child friendly neighbourhoods portrayed through art were the focus of Sydney Catholic Schools’ 2021 National Child Protection Week art competition. The art competition was organised by Sydney Catholic Schools’ Supervisor: Child Safety, Sandra Reynolds, to coincide with the National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect’s (NAPCAN) annual Child Protection Week (5-11 September).
