Governor goes back to school
We could all feel the excitement in the air when the Governor of NSW and Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) alumna, Margaret Beazley, and husband Dennis Wilson turned up at Holy Spirit Catholic Primary School Carnes Hill. Governor Beazley – a former St Declan's Primary School Penshurst, St Joseph's Girls High School Kogarah, and Mount Saint Joseph Milperra student – had been invited to the school to talk about our democracy. Students shine at ArtExpress
Nine students from Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) have been chosen from 9,000 entries to have their works displayed in the annual ArtExpress HSC showcase exhibitions. “This year has seen the most HSC bodies of work included in ArtExpress for the (Sydney) Archdiocese,” said Eva Spata, SCS’ Specialist: Creative and Performing Arts. More than 250 students from Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) dove into the Zone 5 Swimming Carnival in Sutherland today. Water riveting day of action in the pool! That includes the cheeky duck that took a dip in the pool as kids and staff from 16 SCS primary schools arrived at Sutherland Shire Leisure Centre for a day in the sun.
