The changing face of science education
Featuring a Biology superlab, balcony rainforest and woodlands ecosystems, St Patrick’s College Sutherland’s new Alpha Crucis building is a game-changer for the sciences and applied studies. The innovative building design is the result of a collaboration between St Pat's teachers, school leadership, Sydney Catholic Schools and JDH Architects. The building design also includes three industry-standard kitchens for Hospitality and Food Technology, two floors of contemporary learning spaces with breakout areas, multipurpose areas and a textiles room. St Columba’s duo make history
St Columba's Catholic Primary School Leichhardt North students Catherine Angelos and Molly Smith have been named joint state winners in the 2021 National History Challenge. The National History Challenge is a research-based competition, run by the History Teachers’ Association of Australia, in which students explore a topic of their choosing while responding to a set theme. The 2021 theme was Significance: History Matters. Year 3 student Catherine investigated the significance of Florence Nightingale’s contributions to the nursing industry in a Google Slides presentation. New playground unveiled
St Paul of the Cross Catholic Primary School Dulwich Hill has completed a major upgrade of its main playground space. New handball courts and basketball markings ensure there will be no shortage of games to play during lunch and recess breaks. And the school’s junior thespians can look forward to bringing characters to life on the new outdoor stage, which is adorned with pillars bearing the school’s values.
