Music education alive in lockdown
The COVID-19 lockdown has opened up new ways to learn music at Holy Spirit Catholic College Lakemba. Amadeus Music Education Program practical lessons are now happening via Zoom instead of face to face. St Pat’s sibling stars shine in The Voice finals 2021
Sian and Jordan Fuller have continued to take reality singing show The Voice by storm. The next two episodes of the popular Australian singing competition TV show see the talented siblings – a current and former student at St Patrick’s College Sutherland – vie for a place in the top 2, an exciting step closer to the competition grand final. Book trailers wow judges
In some page-turning news, two students from All Hallows Catholic Primary School Five Dock have been shortlisted in the Children’s Book Council Awards (CBCA) 2021 Collide! book trailer Competition. Chiara Castelvetere and Nicholas Prevezanos were shortlisted in the Years 3-4 category. The trailers they created were about picture books Kookaburra by Claire Saxby and Not Cute by Philip Bunting, respectively.
