Sydney Catholic Schools’ first ever Pre to Post Athletics Championships wrapped up in Sydney with a slew of medals.

Sport was the big winner with all 1,536 competitors demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and determination in track and field events at Sydney Olympic Park.

Athletes showed their prowess in: running, long jump, shot put, discus, high jump, triple jump, hurdles, and relay races.

“It was inspiring seeing our young stars realising every athlete’s dream – of competing at Sydney Olympic Park, the home of Australia’s biggest sporting events,” SCS’ Manager Pre to Post Sport, Damien Kerr, said.

WHAT’S NEXT

Selected athletes will compete on Wednesday, 21 September in the Catholic Primary Schools Athletics Championships (Primary) and Monday, 12 September in the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Athletics Championships (Secondary).

At the Catholic Primary Schools and Combined Catholic College Athletics Championships, athletes will vie for spots at the NSW All Schools Athletics Championships on 24-27 September at Homebush.
