The Archbishop Leadership Forum saw Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP welcome the new student leaders of 2023 at St Mary’s Cathedral Sydney.
Student leaders from across all Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Sydney met with the Archbishop on 25 November 2022 to discuss positive Christian leadership in the school environment.
In His Grace’s address, the Archbishop called upon student leaders to assist the Catholic Church to be an authentic and accepting community in an ever-changing world—a theme of the recent Plenary Council.
The Archbishop spoke of the importance of keeping faith in Christ despite the certain challenges the student leaders may face in their everyday life and in their school leadership.
The day concluded with a special blessing service for the young leaders and the gift of a candle for each school blessed by the Archbishop as a symbol of Christ’s guiding light and of their shining leadership.
