The Goulburn School Strike occurred in July 1962, when families of the students at St Brigid’s Primary School protested. They were protesting for the government to provide assistance to construct new toilet blocks at the school to meet government health requirements. The strike saw a divide in the Goulburn community between Catholics and Protestants and members of the Catholic community with differing views about the strike.
