About the Role

The Asset Management Lead focuses on leading the end to end management of assets for the Amadeus Music Education Program. This includes developing and implementing asset management best practice and supporting both system planning and management of assets through to school support and guidance.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • developing, implementing and reporting on an asset management system for over 30,000 instruments and accompanying books, music stands and accessories
  • planning and forecasting required instruments, books, and accessories 
  • managing assets through their lifecycle from purchasing, warranty management, and maintenance through to end-of-life
  • leading inventory management, asset hazard and risk management, and the maintenance repair program
  • leading and coordinating staff to complete advanced maintenance and repairs on instruments
  • managing contracts with suppliers concerning asset management
  • coordinating the movement and tracking of assets, supporting schools with asset management requirements
  • developing policy, training, and guides for best practice asset management
  • liaising with the Amadeus team, schools, instrumental tutors, and suppliers and providing professional advice, support, and guidance for the maintenance and care of instruments
  • any other duties as directed from time to time.

About You

To be successful in this position, you must possess:

  • degree qualifications in a relevant discipline including business, procurement or logistics
  • demonstrated experience in an asset management role
  • demonstrated experience in managing large-scale asset inventories
  • demonstrated experience in negotiating with suppliers
  • high-level organisational and time-management skills
  • technology proficiency in Google Suite including Google Sites
  • a current driver’s licence and access to a car
  • a willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.

Desirable

  • experience with and a knowledge of musical instruments, including their repairs and maintenance
  • proficiency with, or ability to learn, Compass (Learning Management System)
  • knowledge of Catholic Systemic Schools/Systems.
