Students returning back to school in Fairfield were greeted by Spiderman, the Queen, clowns, doctors, human crayons and many more surprise characters.
“The children were not the only ones who got a buzz out of the morning drop off,” John the Baptist Catholic Primary School Bonnyrigg Heights principal, Tony Lo Cascio, laughed.
More than 30 staff at John the Baptist donned different costumes every day to welcome the school grades back.
“Teachers and support staff brought energy, laughter and a positive spin to a complex and uncertain time,” said Mr Lo Cascio, who dressed up as the Queen’s Guard and Patch Adams, among other familiar faces, throughout the week.
Mr Lo Cascio said he wanted to welcome students back in a fun and lighthearted way that might also help ease any feelings of anxiety or fear they may be having about returning to the classroom.
“The smiles were priceless,” he said.
