God’s Gift to Us
My artwork reflects the Scripture passage Matthew 2:9-12, “The Visit of the Magi”. In this passage, the wise men followed the star and presented gifts to Jesus. My artwork depicts God’s loving arms gifting us all with His son, Jesus. The wise men who knew the prophecy about the birth of the Messiah brought gifts to honour Jesus. I am reminded of my family preparing gifts for each other at Christmas and sharing the joy of the birth of Jesus. My artwork was inspired by Jen Norton’s depiction of angels holding the stable.
