A Holy Wreath
My artwork is inspired by ‘The Birth of Jesus Christ’ (Matthew 1:18- 25). It is made of clay and wood. I have called my artwork ‘A Holy Wreath’, as the Holy Family (Mary and Joseph holding Baby Jesus) are in the middle of a wreath with roses.
The inspiration behind the floral wreath comes from Mary and Joseph having a lot of love and hope surrounding them, despite the tough times around them with the horrible king who had ordered all baby boys under the age of two to be killed.
This artwork took me 6 weeks to complete. It was time consuming however the end result was better than I imagined. This is my first time ever entering into the Christmas Story Art Competition and it could not have been better. I hope you enjoy my artwork as much as I enjoyed creating it! I hope that this artwork can inspire many more children like myself to participate and let their imagination go wild with their faith and art.
