Step Up into Teaching (SUiT) Scholarship
Step Up Into Teaching (SUiT) is an Australian Catholic University (ACU) early entry program. It provides Year 11 students considering a career in teaching the opportunity to:
Experience learning in a university environment.
Study two University-level units while completing their school studies.
Qualify to receive a conditional offer to study a Bachelor of Education degree at ACU.
Receive credit for the units completed, HECS-free.
You will also gain real world experience of university learning skills such as referencing, study skills and navigating a university campus. This might help you decide if university studies are right for you.
SCS Offers up to 50 fully-funded places for this opportunity.
Classes are held in the July and January school holidays at ACU’s Strathfield campus and online.
Students who meet the following criteria are eligible to apply.
A student who:
is currently in year 11 at one of our 35 Sydney Catholic Schools.
is interested in pursuing a career in primary or secondary teaching.
Consistently achieves strong academic results.
Is supported by their Principal or delegate such as a Careers Advisor or Year Coordinator.
An information evening for interested students and their parents will be held via Microsoft Teams from 7pm on Wednesday 6 May. Interested students and their parents are requested to ensure:
Students are appropriately dressed and accompanied by their parent/carer
Teams backgrounds are non-descript or obscured by a virtual background
Students sign in to the meeting using their full name, as recorded on their school Google account.
