The Birth of the Holy One
My artwork depicts the scripture passage Matthew 1:18-25. It shows Mary as a new mother and Joseph nurturing baby Jesus. I have arranged them close together in the centre of my canvas board. I wanted to focus on that particular moment when Mary and Joseph are holding baby Jesus for the very first time. Mary and Joseph are amazed and proud of how far they have come, and are reflecting on the journey still ahead of them.
