By 1965, a building was ready for a parish school, and this was blessed by Cardinal Gilroy on 24 January 1965. Sacred Heart School began in
February 1965, with pupils from Kindergarten to Second Class. Sacred Heart School remains a systemic primary school with a strongly multicultural population.
