Cardinal Moran laid and blessed the foundation stone on 26 February 1888. The school then opened on 2 July 1888 by the Marist Brothers at the request of the Jesuit Fathers of North Sydney. It was the fourth school that the Marist Brothers opened. Marist Catholic College North Shore opens in 2021, combining two excellent and long standing Catholic schools in the North Sydney area. The rich history and tradition of both schools shapes the new school of the future.
