The college was formed by the amalgamation of De La Salle Catholic College Bankstown and Benilde Catholic College in 1999. The site was also previously occupied by Nazareth College. The school is now co-educational in Years 7–12 and contains its own trade training centre called St Yon which offers vocational pathways to students in Years 11 & 12.
