Sydney Catholic Schools announces plans for new primary school in Rossmore

Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has announced plans to establish a new Catholic primary school and Early Learning Centre at Rossmore, marking another significant investment in Catholic education across one of Australia's fastest-growing regions. 

The proposed school will provide families in Rossmore and the surrounding south-west Sydney growth corridor with access to high-quality Catholic education close to home. 

The new school will initially open as a two-stream primary school with an Early Learning Centre, with a long-term masterplan allowing for future expansion as the local community grows.  

The timeframe of the school will be confirmed as the project progresses through the necessary approvals, design and construction stages. 

Executive Director Danielle Cronin said the proposal reflects SCS' commitment to ensuring families have access to outstanding Catholic education where and when it is needed most. 

"Across south-west Sydney, we're seeing communities grow at an extraordinary pace, with more families choosing to make this region their home," she said. 

"Rossmore represents an investment not only in new facilities, but in the future of our communities who seek an exceptional Catholic education grounded in faith, excellence and service."  

Ms Cronin said the vision for Rossmore was to create a school where faith, learning and community are woven together from the very beginning. 

"Each of our schools are first and foremost places of encounter, where children are known, nurtured and encouraged to flourish academically, spiritually and personally," she said. 

"From its foundation, Rossmore will be built on those same values, ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow in knowledge, faith and purpose within a welcoming Catholic community."
