By purchasing a ticket to attend the Architects of Change Forum (Event) held on Wednesday 8 November 2023 at City Recital Hall Sydney NSW 2000, you (the Ticket Holder) acknowledge that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.
Purchasing a Ticket
- Tickets must be purchased online via www.sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/architects-of-change-forum. All booking related fees and charges are displayed on this website.
- Individuals may indicate an intention to purchase tickets by creating an online booking (Booking). Invoices for Bookings can be issued for subsequent payment but Tickets are not reserved and will not be issued until payment has been made in full.
- The cost of a single ticket is set out below and the applicable cost of one ticket is subject to the date that payment is received in full (Ticket Fee).

- For payments made online by credit card, ‘SCS Executive Events’ will appear on the credit card statement and on tax invoices it will appear as ’Sydney Catholic Schools’.
- Tickets will be issued by email to the email address provided in the booking.
- Lost or stolen Tickets cannot be replaced.
- Tickets do not include insurance of any kind.
Change or Cancellation by Sydney Catholic Schools
- Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) reserves the right to cancel a ticket and/or package without giving any reasons, in which case clause 13 shall apply.
- SCS may in its sole discretion determine to:

- add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute presenters or artists and may vary the advertised program, price, venue, seating arrangement or audience capacity; and
- change the date, time or location of the Event.;
- If, due to circumstances beyond SCS control including but not limited to, acts of terrorism, war, acts of God and natural disaster (Force Majeure Events), SCS may in its sole discretion cancel, postpone or modify the event.
- If SCS determines to cancel, postpone or modify the Event due to a Force Majeure Event, SCS will not be held responsible for any cost, damage or expense which may be incurred. Refunds for the Ticket Fee will not be issued to Ticket Holders.
- In the event of postponement, cancellation or modification of the Event SCS will not be liable for any cost, damage or expense incurred including but not limited to airfares, accommodation or other similar costs or expenses whatsoever.
- In the unlikely event that SCS cancels the Event for a reason that is not a Force Majeure Event, the maximum liability of SCS to the Ticket Holder is limited to a refund of the Ticket Fee and/or Package Fee as applicable.
Attendance at the Events
- The Ticket Holder may use the Ticket to attend the Event themselves or may transfer the Ticket to another person who will attend the Event. Requests to transfer tickets to another person and update the name of the Ticket Holder must be made in writing to mcc@syd.catholic.edu.au. Any fees associated with the change will be advised to the Ticket Holder.
- The Ticket Holder agrees to be aware of and to make any person to whom they transfer the Tickets aware of the following terms and conditions that relate to attendance at the Event:
- The right of admission is reserved. Tickets must be presented to gain entry to the Event. Entry may be refused if tickets are damaged or defaced in any way.
- Cameras, audio and video recorders may not be permitted. The right is reserved to broadcast or televise the Event.
- The Ticket Holder authorises SCS and its approved contractors, to take and use photographs, video or sound recording and any reproductions or adaptations of the Ticket Holder’s likeness (“the material”) taken at the Event, either in full or part, in conjunction with any wording or drawings, in any SCS publication, production and presentation. This includes the above material being used for promotional purposes in print, digital and social media of SCS.
- Persons attend the Event at their own risk. Ticket Holders agree not to hold SCS liable for any losses, damages, expenses, costs, claims or liabilities suffered or incurred by Ticket Holders including consequential or indirect losses or loss of profit through booking for the Event, attending the Event, cancellation of the Event, failure of the Event to achieve expectations, or for any error or omission by SCS. Ticket Holders agree not to hold SCS liable or responsible for any personal injury (i.e. physical, psychological or emotional stress) or any loss or damage to personal property.
Refund Policy
- Cancellations of ticket purchases received more than 30 days prior to the Event will incur a $10 administration fee (excluding SCS staff tickets and complimentary tickets).
- Cancellations of ticket purchases received less than 30 days prior to the Event will not be eligible for a refund.
- SCS reserves the right to cancel any ticket by refunding the Ticket Fee in full. In the instance of any such cancellation, the liability of SCS in respect to the cancellation will be limited to the value of the cancelled ticket.
- Changes or cancellations must be made in writing to mcc@syd.catholic.edu.au.
- Refunds (less applicable administration and cancellation fees) will be processed within 30 days of the conclusion of the Event. Any refunds owing will be made to the credit card or bank account used to pay for the ticket.
Collection and use of your personal information
- It may be necessary to collect and disclose your personal information for the purpose of administering the event and those other purposes stated in these terms and conditions. We will only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for the above purpose.
- By purchasing a Ticket and/or attending the Event you:
- consent to the collection and disclosure of your personal information by SCS (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); and agree to be bound by SCS privacy policy as updated from time to time which is found here: sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/privacy-policy
