Ready to enrol in a Sydney Catholic School? Here’s how it works.

Please note enrolments are accepted one year prior for primary schools and two years for secondary schools.

How to enrol

You’re considered a first-time parent if:

  • Your child isn’t currently enrolled in any of the Sydney Catholic Schools (Our school finder can help you find your nearest school).
  • You don’t have any other children who are already attending a Sydney Catholic School.

Before getting started save time by having the below documents photographed or scanned and ready:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunisation Certificate
  • Parish Priest reference form
  • A small, recent photo of the student
  • Baptismal and Sacramental Certificate/s (if applicable)
  • Most recent school report (if applicable)
  • Most recent NAPLAN results (if applicable)
  • Evidence of residency status (if applicable)
  • Diverse learning needs assessment (if applicable)
  • Relevant medical information/Clinical assessments (if applicable)

  1. Go to bit.ly/compassaccount
  2. Follow the instructions to create a Compass account.
  3. Verify your email address by completing the steps,
  4. make sure to remember your password for future use.

  1. Login to Compass
  2. Go to ‘Family & Enrolments’
  3. Select ‘Create a new student profile’
  4. Follow the prompts to complete your child’s information

  1. Click ‘Create an application’ to start your child’s enrolment process for a new school (e.g., starting in Kindergarten or transitioning from Primary to Secondary).
  2. Follow the prompts to complete the application.

Thank you for submitting your application. A return email will confirm the receipt of your application. Your first preference school will contact you as soon as possible to confirm the next steps in the process.
