The Role
Exciting role due to incredible rapid growth, the Purchasing Officer is a dedicated role that is responsible for buying Information and communication Technology (ICT) products that are essential for the organisation’s day-to-day operations, reviewing prices and quality to ensure optimal stock levels.
With a goal of creating and maintaining good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is of high quality, fit-for-purpose and delivered on time, your main deliverables include:
- ICT purchasing/procurement, ordering and receipting
- tracking orders and ensuring smooth delivery
- ICT asset management (including assessing and monitoring quality)
- planning and organising asset rotation
- end of asset life/disposal
- researching suppliers
- comparing and evaluating supplier offers and negotiating contract terms and pricing.
The Person
The successful candidate will have attained the following:
- attention to detail
- advanced Excel skills
- willingness to learn new systems CiA and Service Now for the purpose or raising orders and payment of invoices
- logistics experience (provisioning of Assets to schools, organising couriers).
