We have a unique opportunity for a Network Services Manager to join our talented ICT department in a permanent role. The Network Services Manager will be responsible for performing a range of support functions to the SCS Central and Regional Offices and schools within ICT team under the System Stewardship directorate. In this role, you will be managing the below key priorities:

  • Managing the overall ICT network services solution design and transitions (Campus LAN, wireless LAN, WAN, IP telephony, IP-based audio visual service, data centre, Internet, carriage service interconnects, network automation and access policy)
  • Third party SLA management
  • Network technology integration and co-existence
  • Working with ICT Infrastructure project managers and Schools ICT support team to develop and implement innovative ICT school network solutions

Essential Criteria

  • Australia Tertiary qualifications equivalent of AQF level 7 (Bachelor) in Network Engineering, Computer Science or IT
  • HPE Aruba Certified Mobility Professional (ACMP)
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in Routing and Switching or HPE Aruba Certified Switching Professional (ACSP)
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification
  • Proven extensive experience (7 – 10 years) in leading and managing architecture of enterprise and service provider level network solutions
  • Current NSW drivers licence
  • Proven extensive operational knowledge or hands-on experience working with technology vendors and products
  • In-depth technical knowledge in designing and evaluating IP networking technology implementation
  • In-depth technical knowledge in designing and evaluating network security implementation
  • The flexibility to adapt to change with positivity
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing complex ICT network implementation and transition projects.
  • Proven experience in directing and managing managed service delivery – contracts, and SLA management
  • Be an honest, effective and transparent communicator when dealing with all stakeholders
  • Capacity to commit to the Mission and Vision of Sydney Catholic Schools

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in the Education industry
  • Knowledge of the Catholic School system and faith
