Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) is responsible for the leadership of 152 Catholic primary and secondary schools across the Archdiocese of Sydney, which educates over 70,000 students.

This position is responsible for providing high level support to the People and Culture Unit (PCU) to ensure an effective level of service is provided to schools and leadership teams across the system in relation to the organisation’s learning and leadership development agenda.

The primary focus of the role is:

  • To support the People and Culture Unit to implement a contemporary performance growth culture across Sydney Catholic Schools
  • To manage the administrative aspects of the SCS responsibilities as a Teacher Accreditation Authority
  • Provide quality assurance of TAA compliance processes
  • Develop and review PCU online presence and professional learning resources and tools

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary or other relevant qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of successful working in a team environment
  • Well developed computer skills across Microsoft, Google and Web design platforms
  • Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to plan and manage multiple projects and competing tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex information and communicate issues through clear and succinct correspondence to a range of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline and improve processes
  • Willingness to support the ethos of the Catholic school

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Previous experience in an administration related role
  • Previous experience working in an Education environment
